| Additional fees beyond the product price | The price of a finished piece includes worldwide shipping. Import duties, import taxes, and customs clearance fees are the buyer's responsibility and are determined by the customs authority of the destination country (for example, the United States and many other countries apply them). Bank transfer fees, if you choose to pay by bank transfer, are borne by the buyer. |

| Payment timing | Commissioned works (Kintsugi, Gemgraphy, etc.): the design consultation fee is paid before the consultation. After the quotation is agreed, a 50% deposit (consultation fee credited) is paid to begin production, and the balance is paid before delivery. Collection pieces (secondhand goods): full payment is due at the time of purchase. Items ship after payment is received in full. |

| Returns, exchanges, and cancellations | Terms differ by product type. Commissioned works: the consultation fee is refundable before your consultation and non-refundable afterward; a commission cannot be cancelled once production begins. Collection pieces: as secondhand goods, they cannot be returned or cancelled for customer reasons. In both cases, transit damage is remedied free of charge. Our terms differ by product type. Commissioned works are made to order for one person, following a Private Design Consultation; Collection pieces are one-of-a-kind secondhand goods.
Before your consultation takes place: you may cancel for a full refund of the Private Design Consultation Fee, less any payment processing fees.
After the consultation has taken place: the consultation fee is non-refundable if you choose not to proceed to production. The concept sheet and design proposal are yours to keep.
After production begins: given the made-to-order nature of each piece, the commission can no longer be returned or cancelled.
Given the nature of the goods, returns and cancellations for customer reasons cannot be accepted. Each item's condition is described in detail on its product page, and you are welcome to ask us any questions before purchase.
If your piece is damaged in transit, contact us within 7 days of arrival and we will repair it, remake it, or refund you, at no charge.
The price of a finished piece includes worldwide shipping in fully insured, fine-art packaging. Shipments are sent on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) basis: import duties, import taxes, and customs clearance fees are set by the customs authority of the destination country and are the buyer's responsibility. Many countries, including the United States, apply such charges. We declare shipments accurately and can provide the documents your customs office needs.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
